Hello! My name is Sivani Gelfand. I am a Spiritual Guide, Reiki Master Teacher, and Ritual Leader practicing in my hometown, New Orleans— Bvlbancha. After receiving the initial call to study Reiki in 2015, my devotion to healing work had an expansive impact on my life and spiritual growth. As my own transformation unfolded I felt called to companion others more intimately through their own journeys, which led me to complete a two year study in Interfaith Spiritual Guidance.
As familiar with grief and transformation as I am with joy and steadiness, I hold an awareness that honors the capacity of the human experience. Many factors in our lives mask our ability to truly know ourselves, such as social constructions and oppressions, family history, relationships, work, and trauma. I believe healing is the process of strengthening, deepening, and surrendering ourselves in the name of transformation. I am committed to compassionately supporting others along their journey to wholeness. As people awaken to a deeper understanding of their authentic self, I guide individuals to nurture and trust the deep wisdom of their own hearts.
Concurrent to my healing work I am the Director of Religious Exploration at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans (since 2016). Here I oversee programming for children and families, create and lead intergenerational worship services, and help support the spiritual development of the congregants.
